Meeting called to order 7:02 PM

I. Reports
        A. President            - Welcomes newcomers
        B. Secretary            - Also welcomes newcomers
        C. Treasurer            - No comments
        D. Vice President       - see Computer expo notes below
        E. Gaming coordinator   - Glad to be part of the club, apologized 
for not
                                  attending the last meeting
II. Computer Expo
        A. Vice President - Contacted Richard Kershaw about getting Walkie
                             Talkies, it is possible
                           - 2000 flyers have been printed out
                           -1000 good quality was given to mail room to 
distribute to students                       in mailboxes
                           -1000 better quality will be handed out to 
businesses to distribute                      to community
                           - Radio stations are advertising
                           - The Conferences dept. is lending 10 A frame 
stands to use as                            poster stands
                           - A new list has been made up of potential 
vendors/speakers. See

                           - Fairchild may donate but will not be 
attending the Expo
                           - Mal Carey will get an Internet connection for 
Apple
        B. President -Trying to contact USM and UMO to advertise for us
                           - Still waiting to see our ads in the following 
newspapers:

                                 - Franklin Journal
                                 - Sun Journal
                                 - Portland Press Herald
                           - Current list of Vendors include ( is

        C. Secretary - Coke has donated 2 banners:
                                 - 1st banner will say
                                UMF COMPUTER CLUB
                                 - 2nd banner will say
                                UMF COMPUTER EXPO
                                    OCT 28 10-4
                                ROBERTS LEARNING CENTER
                        - They overcharge for their Coke products so we 
will buy soda at Wal-                           Mart
III. Other Business
        A. No other Business

IV. Computer Gaming
                       - Need permission to have bandwidth on different 
subnets
                       - The sub-club will come up with a list of things 
they will need
                       - Half-life game will fit all needs for Computer 
Gaming at this point
                       - May use money allocated to them to upgrade
                       - Would like to make T-shirts
                       - Should contact Beatrice who made our "New World 
Order" shirts
