Computer Club Meeting 9/26/02

Notes:

No Win 98 Disk for Zeus (we asked Allen if he knew where it was).  Do we need another 
copy?  We have extra funds from last year that could be spent to get new version or 
upgrade.

Angie found Win 98 upgrade, if we need it.  Need to figure out how much we should pay. 
We will figure this out next week.

Hades/Athena have been reformatted with their respective legal copies of windows.

Could not get anything while we up at Bangor due to 2 distinct flaws of our purchase 
orders.  We might just go to Walmart to buy software there since its closer, and has 
virtually the same prices, except for the CD's.

Jessica found a package of games at Walmart called Emperors, we are going to try and 
get it.  

We are having various problems with Athena and the printer's password protections and 
we are trying to fix through various means.

The web project has had numerous clubs interested (Program Board, Otaku, and Frisbee).  
We also talked about possible advertising for the design program.

Trying to figure out how to optimize our video cards in the various computers once we 
get them.

What are we going to do for Family/Friends weekend?  No fundraising or activities.

Gaming nights are Monday and Wednesday, and we are in the planning stages of the 
gaming tournament at the Latte Landing.

Voted on buying Unreal Tournament 2003.  5-2 abstained.
Overviewed the new office rules to the club.

Going to the computer center to try and get our system network unblocked.  

Rachel wants to change or constitution (on voting).  We should be able to get a majority 
of the club to get rid of an officer, if it is necessary.

Need to reserve Latte Landing, and also advertise for the upcoming gaming tournament.  
The date and fee are still undecided.
